Having called several places "home" in the past years, I feel fortunate that Columbia is my newest residence. I was born and raised in a suburb outside of Chicago and I completed my undergraduate studies in psychology at DePaul University. Subsequently, I worked as a research assistant on a project partnering with the Chicago Public Schools. This was a powerful experience for me that underscored the important role of schools in children's healthy social, emotional, and behavioral development and inspired me to pursue a degree in higher education. In 2010, I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to start my doctorate in school psychology. Much of my time in Nebraska was spent working with families and schools to develop meaningful ways for parents and teachers to work together to improve students' functioning. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in August of 2016 and, soon after, began working for the Boone County Schools Mental Health Coalition. I am thrilled about the opportunities to partner with educators, families, and communities across Boone County to support students' well being. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my cats, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.
