List Of All States That Are Sending Stimulus Payments

Guaranteed basic income (GBI), often referred to as stimulus payments, is gaining popularity as a way to combat poverty in the United States. By providing low-income individuals with monthly payments, GBI aims to offer financial stability.

States Sending Stimulus Payments in July 2024

California

  • Los Angeles: The Breathe program provides $1,000 per month to about 1,000 low-income households from June 2022 to August 2025.
  • Long Beach: The Long Beach Pledge program offers $500 per month to around 200 low-income households with children, running from spring 2024 to spring 2025.
  • Mountain View: The Elevate MV program gives $500 per month to approximately 166 low-income parents from December 2022 to December 2024.
  • Sonoma County: The Pathway to Income Equity program provides $500 per month to about 305 low-income families from January 2023 to January 2025.

Georgia

  • Atlanta, Southwest Georgia, and the City of College Park: The Georgia Resilience and Opportunity Fund offers $850 per month to around 650 low-income black women from fall 2022 to fall 2024.

Illinois

  • Cook County: The Cook County Promise program provides $500 per month to around 3,250 moderate-income households from December 2022 to December 2024.

Massachusetts

  • Somerville: This program offers $750 per month to around 200 low-income households from July 2024 to July 2025.

Maryland

  • Baltimore: The Baltimore Young Families Success Fund provides $1,000 per month to around 200 young parents from August 2022 to July 2024.

Michigan

  • Ann Arbor: Guaranteed Income to Grow Ann Arbor provides $528 per month to around 100 low-income entrepreneurs from January 2024 to December 2025.
  • Flint: The Rx Kids program offers a $1,500 lump sum and then $500 monthly to around 1,200 new and expectant mothers from January 2024 to spring 2025.

New Mexico

  • Santa Fe: The City of Santa Fe Learn, Earn, Achieve Program provides $400 per month to 98 young, low-income parents enrolled in a certificate or degree program at Santa Fe Community College from January 2024 to spring 2025.

New York

  • New York City: The Bridge Project provides up to $1,000 per month to 1,200 low-income mothers, ongoing since June 2021.

Texas

  • San Antonio: UpTogether San Antonio offers up to $500 per month to 25 low-income mothers from summer 2023 to December 2024.
